Do women go topless in Cuba? Round the pool or at the beach? Is it disrespectful to the culture? Would others be offended? My son's seen me topless since the day he was born, so when he used to holiday with us he accepted it as the norm, and for all the other topless ladies as well. I guess if your son's aren't used to seeing you in a state of undress, they might be slightly "will you put some clothes on! I would never have gone topless in front of my in laws though. Not because I would feel uncomfortable, but because they might have.
I used to walk around the house naked up until they got into their teens so it's not as if I've been a prude or uncomfortable with it. It's since they got to their teen years it was like 'Oh mum, do you have to! We didn't think much of it "to each their own" kinda thing BUT I did hear a couple of families with children comment on it. It was the children who commented and I give tons of credit to the parents who responded "well we might not think it's right but she is from russia and they obviously do things differently there. It's nothing to get upset over; that's just the way it is. It wasn't like the young girl was running around the entire resort topless; she was going from her lounge chair to the pool and back again.
I have also seen a family from France - the mother changed from her bathing suit top to a t-shirt poolside. It wasn't like she stood up and changed; she was sitting on her lounge chair, removed her bikini top and slipped into her t-shirt. Again - very unobtrusively and with quiet dignity. There was another woman from Windsor who would be sunbathing topless - on her lounge chair poolside as well as on the in-pool loungers they have at Kawama. She would put on a sarong whenever she left the pool area.
CFSUN I teach with swimsuits on and aerobic tops, personally I don't like to see strap marks, and when most people are covered for their jobs my body is on constant show. As long as I don't parade around, and especially when children are present, I can't see any problem with it. Why should a man be allowed to go topless and a woman not.
Hey I totally get it. In fact I don't see a problem with children around either but of course I'm not "everybody". My son was about 8 or 9 the first time to varadero. He saw a topless woman on the beach and said nothing. He gave me a wide eyed look and I said its the norm in many countries Was not even a discussion after that and he understood it was normal.
Different people have different opinions. Did any of you know that in the "s, men were not allowed to go toples on Australian beaches? A few "activists" took exception to the law, and now, both men and women can go topless on Australian beaches. Yes or no? Browse all , Cuba topics ». Watch this Topic.
