My girls are always looking for some sensory activity to help settle them after school or just when they have too many wiggles and need something to do. I picked out our six favorite items to use. Each of these is perfect for kids and some are simple and easy. I have loved using each of them. Each of these items has a different use and sometimes you can use together.
They do their homework sitting on them and wiggle all they want without me worrying. My middle will sit on the chair just to sit and wiggle. She uses it a lot during movies. Check out my Review of the Kore Stool. TheraPutty is a favorite of my girls. They each have a color strenght they love. When my middle is really needing some deep work with her hands I pull blue and she plays with it for a long while.
I love to have them hide coins in it and then dig it out. Water be are a sensory bin filler that I use all the time! Plus they work great with so many different objects. Scooter Board with Handles are so much funt o scoota round the room. We put tape on the floor and they follow the track. They sit on them or lay on them and get the movement and deep pressure that they need. Plus they have tons of fun while doing it! Balance cushion is something we use may ways. We have done different balance exercise on them or just stand on them while watching something.
We have put them on chairs at the table to get to help with the wiggles. I like that it has two textures to pick form as well. Champion Sports Parachute one we just love. We have the 6 feet version and it is great for small spaces and helps really get the wiggles out of my girls. You can use this with just a few people and enjoy it.
My girls also like just playing on their own with it. This is the sixth post with 11 other bloggers. They love scooter boards, although they make do with skateboards here at home. It makes such a difference to their concentration and ability to stay calmer! This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Learn how your comment data is processed.
